After Covid: ‘I’ve blood clots and a braced leg, but I’m home’
After battling Covid-19, I thought the worst was behind me. However, little did I know that the virus had left lasting effects on my body.
One day, I woke up with severe pain in my leg and difficulty breathing. I rushed to the hospital, only to find out that I had developed blood clots in my legs due to the virus.
Doctors immediately put me on blood thinners and I was confined to a hospital bed for weeks. Despite the pain and discomfort, I remained hopeful that I would eventually recover.
As I began to make progress, I was finally able to return home. However, my journey was far from over as I had to wear a leg brace to help me walk and undergo physical therapy to regain my strength.
Every step was a struggle, but I was determined to overcome the challenges. With the support of my family and medical professionals, I slowly started to see improvements in my condition.
Now, months after my battle with Covid-19, I am grateful to be home surrounded by loved ones. Though I still have a long road to recovery ahead of me, I am filled with hope and resilience.
My experience with Covid-19 has taught me the importance of cherishing every moment and never taking my health for granted. I am determined to fully recover and live my life to the fullest.
